At the Jazz at Newport Festival, jazz students and community musicians will have two unparalleled opportunities to participate directly with jazz artists in jazz workshops at the Newport Performing Arts Center. Cost to participate is $10 per person.

BRUCE FORMAN will conduct a guitar clinic at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 2. Forman has been featured as leader as well as sideman at many of the most prestigious festivals and concert venues in the world. His devotion to sharing knowledge, particularly with children, has been a constant in his career. Having taught since his late teens, he is keenly aware of the needs of developing musicians and is personally connected to his students, many of whom have moved on to successful careers as recording and performing artists.

ROSEANNA VITRO will give a vocal clinic at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 2. Vitro has toured the world as an esteemed performer, clinician, recording artist, vocal instructor and Jazz Ambassador. Her collaborations, covering a wide range of music and stylistic directions, have been cited and celebrated, far and wide.
